At work, for years in Lotus Notes/Jabber/Teams/whatever we used to post GIFs as memes to decorate discussions and emphasize humor.

I used to LOVE GIFs in general, I find them transmitting more sense than what they actually represent.

I don’t know how it happens but one day it stopped. Not like trend passed and people not wanting to be like “boomers” but just everyone quietly and collectively stopped posting GIFs.

You NECESSARILY seen those GIFs, else you missed about an era!

In memoriam and posterity, I will post a few of the most used one that I can remember.

The office and Steve Carell were declined into several GIFS, same for Ben Affleck (why?), Ben Stiller and others I forget.

I could post many more, but its era is over and I need to let it go and bury again those GIFs with it.
